Denim & Diamonds: A Winter Mitzvah

The lovely family I worked with on a winter Mitzvah last year sent me the images from the day, taken by the fabulous (and newly married!) Melissa Robotti last March. The theme of “Denim and Diamonds” was set for the evening with custom sequin linens and a purple and silver color palette throughout the room. Floral mannequins were created by the team at KOR floral to mimic the girl of honor, in custom jeans accented with her logo in rhinestones on the denim. Concepts that carried through the space included purple rock candy accented small arrangements that also matched the nontraditional candle lighting display. The entire evening was a perfect party for the adults and kids alike, these images capture all of the event details perfectly!

Where did two years go?

Today I am wishing a very happy anniversary to my favorite guy. My goodness time has flown by. Within two years we have moved, finished Business School, changed jobs, moved again, and I can’t wait to see what year three holds! I’m sharing below an article that was published this past year on our wedding in Newport Life Magazine, we had the best vendors, the best weather, and, for us, the perfect day!

Beach Baby Q Bash!

A few weeks ago I shared the invitations for the baby shower we threw for a wonderful new mommy to be in Newport, RI. The entire shower had a casual feel, with bbq snacks and sippers, lots of time to mingle and catch up outside on the beach, playing a game of corn hole, or just relaxing inside. We invited the men to join as the evening went on and everyone had a great time celebrating Baby F! Some of my favorite details are below from the day.

Since it was a “display” shower we hung all of the outfits up as the mom to be saw them so everyone could see how cute they were!

Conference Essentials-Travel Wardrobe

I am in Southern California for my corporate client this week and realized when packing, my go-tos for long work trips and even longer days remain about the same. They pack well, travel without wrinkles, and keep my running around all day long. Perfect for a honeymoon, or out of town shower as well–this is a peek into my suitcase for the week.

Jude Connally Dresses, a MUST–wrinkle free, so cute, and comfortable enough for a cross country plane ride

I get teased for running around in heels all day but these Rockport shoes with Adidas Technology make it so easy and comfortable…love, love, love.

And for after a full day when its time to pack up the supplies I always have my Tory Burch Eddie’s tucked into my bag

And a Lilly Murfee scarf is always tucked in my bag for cold hotel AC, chilly plane rides, and to accessorize as needed..love this new Virginia State Print as well!

{Ok so there are also typically glue dots, binders, hole punches, lanyards, notebooks, blackberry & iPhone, and some skittles..but those are just not as cute!}

Wedding in a snap {shot}

I was lucky enough to work on an amazing wedding a few weeks ago that exuded New England Charm in every detail. Here are a few snaps taken in between set-up, and rain delays, the entire day wound up perfect. Farm tables, with rustic centerpieces flooding the length were a perfect complement to the rustic atmosphere created by the Sperry Tent. Cocktail hour was made up of small vignettes with vintage chairs, and wine barrel high cocktail tables. Enjoy a few sneak peaks of this perfect day!

Beach Baby-Q Bash

This weekend I am co-hosting a end of summer Beach Baby-Q Bash for my cousin and his wife and their bundle to be. I cannot wait to share all of the details with you of the day, but I thought I would share the invitations first. I printed them on cardstock and tied them together with pink bakers twine. Then they were mailed in kraft paper envelopes with pink pen addresses…setting the tone for the weekend’s events!

How darling are these invites?

No gift wrap for this Momma to be, she wants to enjoy the party!

All tied up and ready to go to our guests!
