We are returning to Virginia this weekend for the wedding of one of my favorite southern belles. I am looking forward to sweet tea, BBQ, and dancing the night away! We also get to end the weekend visiting with family (including a little cutie pie who is now walking and talking!) and enjoying some drinks on the deck taking in this view for two relaxing days!
What an amazing day for a Royal wedding, and I cannot begin to gush enough over every little detail from the dress, to the bouquet, and that halo tiara!
What better day to talk about a new wedding registry site I stumbled upon recently. The new trend of mismatched vintage china is seen all over the wedding world this year but now you can achieve that look at home long after your wedding day. Antiquaria allows you to collect these pieces and offers a wedding registry. I love the idea of registering for your formal china on the site, or finding a unique piece to give as a shower gift, housewarming gift, or to add to your own collection. I particularly fell in love with some of the tea service pieces…fitting even for Princess Catherine!
How do you take your tea?
A perfect tea party tablescape!
With the wedding of the century less than one day away, I can’t help but think of all the fun Kate inspired head accessories that could be given as birthday gifts or mother’s day gifts this year. Or, a gift for yourself to get in the spirit of the royals. Most of these can be incorporated easily into everyday wear, but still have that extra touch of fun in them. Some of my favorites are below!
I love the simplicity and the color!
Perfect as a barrette or a broach
Certainly for a special occasion, but so fun!!
And finally, what I will be wearing to celebrate...even if it is accessorizing my pjs!
I am so excited for this weekend because it is finally warming up in New England and my Mom and I are showering our new family member to be in a beach side bridal shower on Sunday. I cannot wait to show you all the details next week but for today here is a sneak peek of all the fun details we have in store for Sunday! Happy Weekend!
Lemon details, and cheery accents will brighten the day!
I am always looking for a unique way to commemorate special occasions in life without making my living room walls looks like a giant scrapbook. These gorgeous custom pieces from Alexander and Co. do just that. They are a great way to infuse art, your personality, and a commemorative date in a very hip piece. I love the ideas of using them to commemorate weddings or as a birth announcement for a new baby–how hip would that nursery be?
I can definitely see this one in our preppy home!
