We have the best visitors in town this weekend and if the sun decides to stay with us then we will be heading to Polo tomorrow. Although I am sure the match will be fun, packing the picnic basket with treats and champagne is much more where I am focusing my time. That and searching for some Polo worthy gear that can be worn throughout the year! J. McLaughlin is a one stop shop–look at all the adorable finds below!

This skirt can be worn all.summer.long.

Adorably preppy hair accessories

As a sash or a traditonal scarf--I love the nautical pattern

And a perfect pocket square for my handsome date!

A-tisket, A-tasket

I am so looking forward to a long relaxing weekend with family and friends in Newport starting tomorrow. If the weather cooperates than some bike riding around town will be in order, and these Nantucket Bike Company Basketsare the perfect accessory. You could carry a few last-minute groceries, small packages, or (as my adorable Mom does most summer days) your purse and coffee on your way to work!

I love the detail of the leather straps to fasten the basket

Off we go!

Happy three-day weekend! I’ll be sharing some of my favorite local gift ideas from the city by the sea in the next few days!

Leave it to Kate!

Oh Kate, how I love you. You never cease to amaze me with all of your pretty bags, clothes, and accessories that I never knew I needed until you make them so darn cute I cannot resist. My point is proven through your recently updated Wedding Belles collection. If this was around one year ago my hunt for the perfect wedding accessories would have been so much easier. The entire collection is too cute for words but I highlighted my favorite hard to find wedding accessories (or at least they used to be) below.

Bridal shower, day after brunch, going away dress...the list goes on and on

A dainty clutch to keep just the necessities

Something blue and a shoe (some of my readers know just why I LOVE these)

The perfect wedding accessory, and gift for the bride to be..adorable!

Adopt an Olive Tree

I heard about this idea last year and I have been waiting for the perfect time, or better, the perfect recipient for this fun idea. Through Nudoyou can adopt an Olive Tree in Italy and the lucky person you gift this to will receive the benefits of that tree’s harvest throughout the year! They send you a supply of your own personal olive oil in the spring and the fall right from your tree. This gift is unique and perfectly priced for weddings, anniversaries, or just for the person who truly has everything. You can even go to Nudo and visit your tree if you are so inclined–now that would be the ultimate gift!

Special Delivery!

Just waiting to be adopted.. or visited!

Say Cheese!

I am working on creating a custom photo lounge for a bride this fall and we went on the hunt for the perfect backdrop for her concept. Of course, Etsy was the place to go for not only some adorable backdrops but also some quirky props for guests to use when striking a pose! The design she chose will be a secret until October but here are some of my other favorite options found during the search.

My absolute favorite!!

Love that sparkle!

Tie one on!

Hair on a sitck?! Need I say more?

Use it in the photobooth and then decorate the getaway car!

Welcome Home Baby!

After a quick visit to DC to celebrate a wedding with a dear friend I was able to also meet a new little addition to another one of my favorite families down south. Meeting the little peanut and seeing his adorable nursery inspired me to look for other unique newborn furnishings and I found the Moses Basket from Serena and Lilly. The site has the most beautiful options for your home and your baby’s new home but this basket is just too cute! It can be used as a wonderful place for baby to sleep their first few months at home with you, and then use it to store clothing, toys, or books down the road. {Plus it can be monogrammed-sold!}

This coordinating Alpaca throw is a perfect addition for the nursery as well!

I have a confession: I am a stationary addict. I love sending letters and announcements in the mail. My favorite part of the holidays is chosing christmas cards, and I get giddy over hand calligraphered wedding invitations and recieving at home cards. Which is precisely why these noteletts from Pear Tree Greetings are right up my alley. Think of all the fun uses for them–a note on a pillow, a lunchbox note to say “hello”, “good luck”, or “ace that test!”..too many to count! Sometimes the little gifts are the best surprises.
